Paul is writing to a younger pastor, named Timothy to encourage him in living faithfully for the Lord. Throughout this letter, there is a repeated refrain to not be ashamed, to not give in to the pressures of the godless culture surrounding him, rather to share in the suffering and to be found approved and qualified as a servant of the Lord, faithfully proclaiming the word of God. We need to heed these words from Paul to be confident and bold in living out and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us press on for God’s glory!

A major theme of the book of Job seems to be that the blameless and upright do suffer.  Suffering brings about very difficult emotions, and wrestling with the Lord.  Job cries out to the Lord asking why he is going through suffering, yet we see that true wisdom that brings consolation is found not in the ‘why’ question but more in the fearing of God who has the answer.  This sermon series will seek to cover some of the main themes of Job’s suffering, as an encouragement to believers as they face various trials in this life.

Time TBD

This is for anyone new to youth ministry and their families, to learn about the youth ministry at FBFC.

We are excited to be able to reach out to our neighbors again this year through a simple act of giving a bottle of water with a lemonade packet, and a prayer card.  On Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 10am we will gather at the church and teams will go into the neighborhoods surrounding our church to let them know that we are thinking of them and praying for them, and ask if they have needs we can help with and pray for.  We need your help.  Join us in reaching out to our neighbors.  You can help with delivering water bottles, or be part of the prayer team here at the church while others are delivering bottles.  If you cannot help on August 7, you can be part of the prayer team that will be informed of the prayer needs shared by our neighbors.  Sign up below to let us know how you will be participating in this outreach.
